About Project

You’ll join a major enterprise IT hub working on a large-scale VCF on VxRail environment that powers critical internal systems. If you want to work on a modern platform, tackle real operational challenges, and be part of a team that keeps the infrastructure running at its best, keep reading.

What will you do

You will take ownership of a full VMware Cloud Foundation environment running on VxRail. Your work will combine hands-on operations, troubleshooting, automation and security best practices.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the VCF on VxRail platform (snapshots, issue investigation, patching, vulnerability remediation).
  • Manage backup & restore operations using Veeam 12.3.
  • Participate in migration- and transformation-related tasks within the environment.
  • Design, implement, and support the VMware landing zone using IaC tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform, GitLab).
  • Troubleshoot issues across VMware, Ansible Automation Platform, and Aria Automation.
  • Develop automation playbooks, scripts and processes to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance, RBAC principles, security hardening and documentation quality.
  • Collaborate with other infrastructure engineers and work with vendors when needed.

Work mode:
Full remote (IČO).
On-site attendance needed only for initial onboarding in Prague.

Contract length:
Approx. 3 months, with the possibility of extension in case the internal hiring process is not completed.

What we need

Expert experience

  • 5+ years in VMware engineering / DevOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation on VxRail.
  • Deep knowledge of vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T and SDDC principles.
  • Proficiency with Ansible and Desired State Configuration concepts.
  • Experience with data center migration projects (ideally using HCX).
  • Understanding of security hardening, RBAC, encryption and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • University degree in a technical field.
  • Strong English (spoken & written).

  • Strong performance optimisation and complex troubleshooting skills.
