The cookies policy describes how user data are collected and processed by the website and how PRINCIPAL uses cookies and tags to obtain and process information about users of the website. Among other things, the cookies policy is intended to inform users of the website about the use of cookies and the possibility of disabling the use of cookies.

What are cookies and tags?

By means of cookies, PRINCIPAL can gain information about a user's behaviour on the website and identify the user's areas of interest. TAG - the generic name for code elements found on web pages. Cookies can also be classified according to their lifespans into:

  • session cookies, which are temporary. These are stored on your device only until you close your web browser, and will be deleted after it is closed. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website or associated applications.
  • persistent cookies, which we may use to help you navigate around our website more easily and comfortably (they make navigation simpler and faster, for example). These cookies remain in your browser for a longer period or until you manually delete them. The length of this period depends on how you have configured your browser. Persistent cookies allow information to be transferred to the server each time you visit the website.

Cookies can be divided according to purpose into:

  • essential cookies that are required for the operation of the website. These cookies do not collect information about users that could be used for marketing purposes or to remember what pages users have visited on the Internet.
  • analytical cookies are used to improve the functioning of the website. These cookies collect information about how users use the website, such as which pages they visit most often and whether they receive error messages from the website. They also enable us to record and count the number of visitors to the website, thus enabling us to monitor how users use the website.
